A classroom project showcasing the dynamic typography for Dove’s commercial.

#mybeautymysay is a strong campaign that represents how every woman the sad reality of the judgments and comments that women of every ethnicity, profession, or age face based on their looks.

Styleframe

While hearing the audio, I would write the words down in different styles to visualize if that person was a typeface, what would they look like.

I then selected multiple typefaces pairing each of them with the people in the video. Since the speakers were talking about their personal experiences, I approached a handwritten choice of typefaces to give a more personal touch to the video. Writing it down in a notebook also helped me understand the textures that I wanted to add to the pieces to make them look more natural.

For the color scheme, I chose a skin tone color palette to symbolize each of the speakers from the video combining it with Dove’s blue.
